Canadian Brook Trout Fishing Trips
Brook (Speckled) trout are available in limited areas in the region. They need cold, fast moving water to survive. Generally, the river systems draining into Hudson Bay represent the best bet for trophy brookies. Some of these rivers include the Albany River, Etowamani River, Attwood River, Opichuan River, Sutton River, Misehkow River and in Petawa Creek. You can stay at all-inclusive American Plan Resorts, housekeeping cabins, fly-in outposts, or try a wilderness canoeing trip. Some of the canoe trips entail canoeing remote wild rivers, portaging around rapids, and camping in tents in the remote wilderness. Some brook (speckled) trout canoe expeditions go all the way to Hudson Bay, for tundra and polar bears with your brookies!
